Dimensional quality-control reports for measured parts
GaugeX is the software side of a handheld measuring device that pairs a photo with a real mechanical measurement. In MechLAB you register devices, review each measurement session and turn it into a PDF report that flags every dimension as within or out of tolerance.
GaugeX at a glance
| You provide | A registered device and its measurement sessions |
|---|---|
| You get | Session views, tolerance checks and a PDF report |
| Where it runs | Stored under your account; only you can open it |
| Cost | Free |
How it works
- Register a device with its version and code.
- Sync the device to bring its measurements in.
- Set the theoretical dimension and tolerances for each measurement.
- Download the PDF report.
Frequently asked questions
Can I buy the GaugeX device?
Not yet. The device is still being designed, and the software already works with simulated sessions so the reporting flow can be tested.
Are asymmetric tolerances supported?
Yes. You can set independent plus and minus tolerances, for example 220.00 +0.50/−3.00 mm.
What does the report contain?
A summary table of every dimension with its result, plus one page per measurement with its photo and tolerance status.
